Public BBQ

A large, long-established playground in Bonython Park, set among big shady trees and gardens above the Torrens, with a wide lawn alongside and a cafe right next to the play space, close enough to watch children from a table. There is water and sand play, a double flying fox, a rope climb, a roundabout and multiple swings, with a bike training and traffic education area nearby. A public toilet and barbecue are on site, and there is plenty of seating. Some equipment has been out of service: the giant mouse wheel that was the great favourite has been removed, the roundabout has stopped spinning and several log seats are fenced off. Parking is the other catch, badly squeezed by the Children's Hospital construction alongside.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Adelaide council.

You should first check with Adelaide council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
